While the description et al say that this is "anhydrous lanolin" (no water), the label on the jar in the product photo clearly says that it is "Lanolin, Hydrous" (with water). These two are not the same thing at all, and neither product is an oil.br /br /Also, the product photo is unclear, being dark and blurry.

Anhydrous Lanolin can't be an oil. It is a soft solid at room temp. - Hunting 4 real anhydrous - Washington state, USA
I've used anhydrous (without water) lanolin for many years. At room temp. it is a soft waxy product almost like very thick vaseline.br /br /This listing, as an oil is incorrect.

I got burns on my face and hands, as a result of something I am frying exploded in hot oil. br /no warning nothing. Just that there was built up of hot air and the dough found a small opening and shooted out. along with it oil splattered and got on my face and hands. br /rest of my skin protected by clothing.br /br /well a friend of mine gave this cream and it worked magic. Burns completely healed in a week. It will take a little long for scars to disappear. br /I recommend every house to have this as first aid for burns and cuts. Also I read that this product is good for insect bites (fire ants, bees, wasps etc.)

Simple grease burn in the kitchen - I was too busy looking at what item to remove from the pan next to notice that I placed the hot tongs against my other hand. I'd never before found anything that permanently took out the sting of the burn and avoided blistering; First Degree did both of those. I happened upon this med in a drug store while waiting for a RX to be filled. I have Discoid Lupus with severe scarring. I have used EVERYTHING over the counter AND prescription. This is the best stuff for any kind of burns, small to large. It even works well for sunburns. My daughter had an accident with the stove and burned her arm from her wrist to elbow with the burner on high. We put this stuff on the burn, wrapped with gauze. Wow, amazing stuff, she does not even have a scar. I burned my hand with a hot pan, put this gel on my burn immediately, wrapped it up with gauze and it did not even have a mark the next day. We keep this product in all vehicles, camp trailer and our house.

This stuff is indispensable for burns. Unfortunately, the dispenser is ridiculously inappropriate. You will probably NEVER get all of the product out of the bottle. But you won't know for sure until you can't GET anymore out of it, because it makes no noise when you shake the bottle and you can't see into it. It is a fairly thick gel and the squeeze bottle is very hard to squeeze. After a few uses, I have to HIT the bottle HARD against my palm to get anything out of it - a pain in itself and a real nuisance when you are in a hurry - like when you have a BURN!! This product package calls out for redesign. A pump bottle, A tube. A wider mouthed non-squeeze bottle. a jar. ANYTHING BUT THIS D*****D squeeze bottle. I have called the company, but the customer service lady said it was just perfect. I am writing this review so that perhaps the manufacturers will do something about this situation.
